Job summary

The Cleveland Clinic in Ohio is seeking a dedicated Radiology Technologist to operate x-ray equipment, including stationary units, mobile machines, C-arms and fluoroscopy systems, providing physicians with high-quality images for diagnosis.

You will contribute to a calm, healing environment for patients and may explore imaging education opportunities offered by the Clinic, such as MRI, CT or ultrasound programs. Workdays are typically Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered Technologist by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in good standing.
• Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the AHA or Red Cross.
• One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Perform general radiology exams, portable exams and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay.
• Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Maintain documentation.
• Address equipment malfunctions, notify management and report malfunctions to the help desk and PACS administrator.
• Assist with scheduling procedures, monitor and determine priority of patients, and process billing.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology

Registered Technologist by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in good standing

Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist
