Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Radiology Technologist at St. Francis Medical Center - Richmond. The role involves performing diagnostic imaging under supervision, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and adhering to radiation protection standards.

The ideal candidate will have ARRT certification, valid state licensure where required, BLS, and 1 year of experience in radiation safety and patient care. EPIC/EHR and PACS experience is preferred, with a team-focused, compassionate approach to patient care.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from ARRT accredited program preferred.
• Certification and registration with ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology required.
• State licensure preferred where required.
• BLS certification required or as specified by location.

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient medical history and lab work; documents for licensed practitioner.
• Positions and immobilizes patient to optimize diagnostic images.
• Applies radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
• Performs radiographic procedures with imaging equipment and accessories.
• Verifies informed consent and completes pre/post procedure documentation.
• Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and radiographic procedures; maintains sterile technique.
• Performs required timeouts and handles medications/contrast as prescribed.
