Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) at St Francis Medical Center in Midlothian, VA. The PRN position requires applying diagnostic imaging skills under a licensed practitioner while ensuring patient safety.

Qualifications

• Associates from an ARRT accredited institute preferred.
• ARRT Certification in Diagnostic Radiology is required.
• State Licensure preferred unless required by the state where the job is performed.
• BLS from American Heart Association required at hire for certain Bon Secours sites; preferred prior to independent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history and prior lab results for imaging procedures.
• Position and immobilize patient to obtain optimal images.
• Apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
• Perform radiographic procedures with imaging equipment and accessories.
• Verify informed consent and complete pre/post procedure documentation.
• Assist licensed practitioner with fluoroscopy and radiography; maintain aseptic technique.
