Job summary

HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital is seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist for a PRN opportunity. You will perform radiographs and fluoroscopic procedures, ensuring quality images while upholding patient dignity and safety in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities include preparing and positioning patients, documenting in MEDITECH, and coordinating with radiologists to support accurate diagnoses. BLS certification and ARRT are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program at an AMA-approved school.
• ARRT certification.
• Florida Department of Health CRT licensure.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Take radiographs (x-rays) of patients to aid physicians in diagnosis and treatment.
• Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images submitted for interpretation.
• Select proper technical factors and techniques for patients and contrast administration as needed.
• Prepare, transfer and position patients ensuring modesty and safety.
• Document relevant clinical information prior to exam and complete MEDITECH fields accurately and on time.
• Maintain communication with patients, caregivers, and radiologist.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Ourimagingteams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist for a PRN opportunity. As an X-Ray Tech on our team, you will take radiographs (x-rays) of patients which will assist physicians in diagnoses/treatment and carefully perform procedures accurately and in a compassionate and respectful manner.

Your tasks and responsibilities as a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) may include:

• Possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment including surgical, portable, trauma, general and fluoroscopic
• Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images assuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation utilizing appropriate lead markers as well as date and time stickers where indicated
• Select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate patients and assist in administration of contrast media
• Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices
• Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
• Maintain proactive and effective communication with patients and caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist
• Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessary supplies

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program at an AMA-approved school
• Valid ARRT certification
• Clear/active Florida Department of Health CRT licensure
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to perform work which requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment (100+/- lbs)
