The community you’ll be caring for: 301 MEMORIAL MEDICAL PKWY, Daytona Beach, 32117

The role you’ll contribute:

Performs Radiographic imaging procedures, positions, moves, and assists patients. Performs clerical duties. Provides basic patient care within scope of practice and departmental standards. Adheres to the Hospital Corporate compliance plan, and complies with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as accreditation standards.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Performs all exams using established protocols, properly identifies patients before exams, educates patients about procedures, and screens for contrast allergies.
• Operates imaging equipment safely, including scanners, injectors, and monitors, demonstrating knowledge to perform scans on patients of all ages with protocol adaptations as needed.
• Properly screens patients of childbearing age, minimizes radiation exposure, practices infection control, and maintains a clean, organized, and stocked room.
• Positions patients and equipment, selects technical factors to produce quality images meeting Radiologist standards efficiently and safely.
• Performs direct patient care duties within scope, utilizing infection control techniques and PPE.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications:

• Associate degree or equivalent with two years of related experience; graduation from an accredited Radiologic Science program required.
• Current BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) required.
• State license as a General Radiographer, if applicable, required.
