Radiologic Technologist/X-Ray | Palm Coast Ortho | PRN | Days

Overview

Position floats to all 3 locations: Palm Coast, St. Augustine, and Nocatee.

Hours: 8am to 5pm

The Radiology Tech operates imaging equipment and performs diagnostic x-rays as ordered by the physician. Assists in preparing operating/procedure rooms as needed. Documents radiation exposure and test results in the patient's chart.

Responsibilities
  • Instructs and prepares patients for radiographic/fluoroscopic examinations.
  • Performs radiological exams accurately, following department standards for technique, positioning, and protocols, including contrast administration.
  • Ensures high-quality images for interpretation and consults with physicians to optimize results.
  • Follows protocols and participates in quality control programs.
  • Completes procedures efficiently and prepares rooms for subsequent procedures.
  • Performs radiology technician functions according to prescribed procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with Florida radiological standards and regulations.
  • Uses and maintains equipment per manufacturer’s specifications and OSHA guidelines.
  • Cleans, sterilizes, and maintains supplies and equipment, ensuring availability during procedures.
Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree or Diploma in Radiologic Technology from an AMA-accredited school.
  • Florida Radiologic Technologist license.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, required within 30 days of hire.
  • Preferred: 1 year of radiologic technology experience.
