Job summary

HCA Florida North Florida Hospital is seeking a Radiology Tech to perform X-rays and support patient care in a fast-paced setting. You will triage patients, transmit images to Radiologists, and help maintain room readiness and safety according to ALARA principles.

Qualified candidates will hold Florida licensure, ARRT certification, and be a graduate of a Radiologic Technology program; BCLS within 30 days is preferred. This PRN role offers comprehensive benefits through HCA's rewards program.

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Florida licensure required.
  • ARRT certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate X-Rays as ordered by the Provider while practicing radiation safety precautions to include ALARA.
  • Prepare and transmit images to the Radiologist for over-read.
  • Room patients and record vital signs and patient history.
  • Assist patients and providers as needed with walking, transfer, specimen collection, exam prep, etc.
  • Maintain cleanliness of rooms and adequate stock of supplies.
  • Transport patients as needed.

Job Summary And Qualifications

We are seeking a dynamic Radiology Tech to join our team. Your primary function is performing x-rays on patients. You will also triage patients and provide other patient care services. You will work with a phenomenal team that cares like family and works together in a collaborative manner.

In this role you will:
  • Perform accurate X-Rays as ordered by the Provider while practicing radiation safety precautions to include ALARA.
  • Prepare and transmitimages to the Radiologist for over-read.
  • Room patients to include taking and recording vital signs and patient history.
  • Assist patients and providers as needed with walking, transfer, specimen collection, exam prep, etc.
  • Maintains cleanliness of rooms and adequate stock of supplies.
  • Transports patients as needed.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Must be accredited by ARRT
  • Must be licensed by the state of Florida
  • Two years of clinical experience in related field preferred
