Job summary

South Shore Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to support patient care and diagnostic imaging. You will perform interpretive, patient care and technical functions to ensure proper radiologic diagnosis of patients, under the direction of the Department Manager.

The role emphasizes safety, protocol compliance, and accurate documentation of imaging procedures and requisitions, with responsibilities spanning patient preparation, positioning, exposure factors, and post-procedure

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved two-year program.
• Six (6) months to be fully proficient.
• RT- Radiography Technology (MA state license) or RT Temp - Radiography Technology Temporary (MA state license)

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient’s identity.
• Explain and confirm patient’s preparation prior to radiographic/fluoroscopic examinations.
• Examine radiographic requisition to verify accuracy and completeness of information (e.g., patient history, clinical diagnosis).
• Provide for patient safety, comfort, and modesty.
• Explain procedure instructions to patient or patient’s family.
