Job summary

South Shore Health System is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform imaging procedures including radiographs and fluoroscopy under the supervision of the Department Manager. The role emphasizes patient care, safety, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved radiography program.
• Massachusetts RT license or MA RT Temp appropriate to start.
• Experience with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and verify patients before exams and explain procedures.
• Prepare and position patients for radiographic exams.
• Set equipment parameters and manage contrast media with safety.
• Monitor patient during procedures and ensure patient comfort.
• Document exams and maintain radiology records accurately.
• Maintain sterile technique and protect against unnecessary exposure.
• Follow isolation and safety precautions as required.
• Communicate scheduling delays and post-procedure care instructions.
