Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic radiography and fluoroscopic studies at multiple Houston sites. You will operate RIS and PACS, ensure patient safety, and support quality imaging processes within the Radiology Department.

The role requires ARRT eligibility, AMA-accredited training, and BLS certification, with ongoing education and credential maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Eligible for ARRT (R) registry; MRT status within one year of eligibility.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Ability to use computer keyboard and digital image acquisition.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic radiography including fluoroscopic studies as applicable, maintaining a repeat rate under 5%.
• Participates in Technical Quality Control and reports malfunctions or variances.
• Uses RIS and PACS accurately, documents conditions for radiologist review, coordinates with radiology team.
• Maintains radiation safety measures and sterile technique as needed.
• Participates in ongoing training; maintains licenses and credentials.
