Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in Houston, part of Optum, is hiring a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic radiography, including fluoroscopy when applicable, using RIS/PACS across multiple locations.

You will follow department policies, maintain equipment, ensure patient safety and effective communication with patients and radiologists, and participate in training to support qualifications and continuing education.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Eligible for ARRT (R) registry.
• Graduate Technologist designation as defined by the Texas Medical Board.
• Employee must attain ARRT(R) and MRT.
• General Certificate Status within one year of eligibility OR ARRT (R).
• MRT-General Certificate.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association.
• Ability to use computer keyboard and grasp elements of digital image acquisition.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic radiography including fluoroscopic studies when applicable.
• Maintains an individual repeat rate of <5%.
• Participates in quality control and reports equipment variances.
• Uses RIS and PACS correctly for documentation and imaging review.
• Adheres to radiation safety measures and shielding practices.
• Participates in training and continuing education as required.
