Job summary

Minimal qualifications include an Associate's degree and completion of an approved RT program, ARRT certification, state license, CPR within 90 days, and externship with 1–2 years of medical office experience preferred. Hourly pay ranges from USD 29.73 to USD 53.49.

Qualifications

• Externship in a medical or ambulatory health setting.
• 1-2 years medical office experience preferred
• One year of relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.
• ARRT Certification; required
• Must have a Maryland Virginia or DC State License-Certified Medical Radiation whichever is applicable to location of the position; required
• CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required
• Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards and safety standards.
• Cleans, stocks and sterilizes equipment and prepares patient rooms for care delivery.
• Delivers patient care with emphasis on safety and quality, and supports optimal patient flow.
• Embraces new technology and uses the electronic health record.
• Performs venipuncture and selected patient and laboratory testing (point of care).
• Performs X-rays and forwards images to radiologist for over-reads; maintains X-ray equipment and safety standards.
• Promotes respect and professional communication with patients, families, vendors and co-workers.
