Job summary

Capital Health System, Inc. is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform clinical imaging and support radiography operations across our facilities. You will ensure high-quality imaging, patient safety, and efficient study completion, while adhering to ALARA principles and department protocols.

The role requires NJ radiologic licensing, ARRT certification, and an accredited radiologic technology program. On-call and weekend shifts may be required, with a focus on accurate reporting and

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• New Jersey Radiology Technologist License.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• AHA Heartsaver AED.
• Capability to perform on-call, holiday, and weekend work when required.
• Effective verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical radiology services according to practice standards and acts as a resource to radiography students and other technologists to ensure optimal patient care and efficient departmental operations.
• Demonstrates radiation protection and safety for patients and staff as outlined in department protocols and regulatory guidelines.
• Demonstrates understanding of radiologic principles, anatomy, positioning, and technique to achieve optimal imaging.
• Maintains radiation exposure within ALARA limits.
• Sends images to PACS correctly.
• Assists physicians in various studies using standard department protocols and appropriate radiation protection and infection control procedures.
• Checks orders for correct patient name, physician, imaging, date, and signature.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
