Job summary

HCA Florida Northside Hospital is seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist for a full-time night shift. You will perform radiographs and fluoroscopic procedures, ensuring patient safety and image quality to support physicians' diagnoses.

The ideal candidate holds a 2-year/associate Radiologic Technology degree, ARRT certification, Florida licensure (CRT), and BLS. You will operate imaging equipment, document exams, and collaborate with the radiology team.

Responsibilities

• Take radiographs (x-rays) of patients to assist physicians in diagnoses

• Select technical factors and assist with contrast administration when indicated
• Position patients ensuring modesty and safety
• Document clinical information and obtain informed consent
• Communicate with radiologist and care team
• Ensure equipment readiness and prevent cross-contamination

Job Summary and Qualifications

Youwill take radiographs (x-rays) of patients which will assist physicians in diagnoses and treatment andperform procedures accurately and in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner. Your tasks and responsibilities as a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) may include but are not limited to:

• Possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment including surgical, portable, trauma, general and fluoroscopic radiographic procedures
• Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images assuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation utilizing appropriate lead markers as well as date and time stickers where indicated
• Select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate patient and assist inadministration of contrast media when indicated
• Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated
• Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time.
• Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist
• Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessary supplies

Qualifications:

• 2-year/Associate degree
• Hospital-based Radiologic Technology program
• Valid ARRT certification
• Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to perform work which requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
