LiveWell Homecare Agency in Scranton, PA is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging with MRI equipment, ensure safety, and deliver high-quality studies.

The role requires ARRT/ARMRIT/NMTCB MR certification, radiologic technology program completion, and the ability to educate staff and students. You will select pulse sequences, adhere to ALARA, and participate in quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Certification required by ARRT/ARMRIT or NMTCB with ARRT-MR or ARMRIT.
• Graduation from a radiologic technology program; related bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong technical proficiency and safety focus; ability to educate others.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct orders, identify patients, and document clinical history while maintaining confidentiality.
• Utilize appropriate protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to safety.
• Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed.
• Evaluate image quality, verify proper positioning, and handle data post-processing/storage.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, applying safety to minimize risks.
• Assist with MR interventional procedures and perform imaging as prescribed.
• Select pulse sequences considering protocols and data acquisition factors.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and demonstrate proficiency in routine and complex duties.

Role Overview: MRI Technologists perform diagnostic imaging using magnetic resonance technology, preparing patients, selecting imaging protocols, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met. They assist licensed practitioners in imaging procedures, evaluate images for clarity, and manage data transfer and storage.
