Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency seeks an MRI Technologist to perform and assist with magnetic resonance imaging procedures, ensuring proper patient identification, preparation, and safety while optimizing image quality. You will apply protocols, monitor safety, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

The role requires MR specialization certification (ARRT/ARMRIT/NMTCB) at hire and completion of a Radiologic Technology program; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• ARRT/ARMRIT or NMTCB MR certification required at hire.
• Graduate of Radiologic Technology training program.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct orders, verify patient identity, and document clinical history confidentially.
• Apply imaging protocols, maximize patient safety, and adhere to ALARA principles.
• Prepare and administer medications via vascular access under licensed practitioner guidance.
• Evaluate images for quality, position correctly, and manage data storage and transfer.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers; assist with interventional MR procedures.
• Ensure safety principles are followed to minimize risks to patients, self, and staff.
• Select suitable pulse sequences considering protocols and data acquisition factors.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and demonstrate proficiency in routine and complex duties.
