Job summary
NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a Practical Technologist in Radiology (PTR) / Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced team in Arizona. You will perform radiology duties, assist providers with exams and patient care under supervision, and adhere to safety and EMR/EHR requirements.
Ideal candidates hold a PTR license, valid CPR, and either an approved Medical Assistant program or national certification (CMA/RMA/CCMA).
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; diploma/certificate from an accredited radiology program.
- Completed an approved Medical Assistant training program.
- If non-accredited MA program, national certification CMA/RMA/CCMA required.
- PTR license and CPR certification required.
Responsibilities
- Performs radiology duties within scope of practice and regulations.
- Assists providers with exams and patient vitals under supervision.
- Administers medications according to policy and safety protocols.
- Collects urine for testing when required.
- May perform splinting, casting, and orthopaedic procedures.
- Supports EMR/EHR data entry and ensures patient safety.
