Job summary

NextCare in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Radiology Technician (RT) or Practical Technologist in Radiology (PTR) / Medical Assistant for a fast-paced urgent care setting. You will perform radiology duties, assist providers with exams, and administer medications under policy while maintaining patient safety.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a radiology certificate/diploma from an accredited school, a valid RT or PTR license, CPR certification, and proficiency in EMR/EHR.

Qualifications

• Education: Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent; AND diploma or certificate from an accredited radiology school AND
• License: Certified Radiology Technician (RT) or Practical Technologist in Radiology (PTR)
• Certification: Current healthcare professional level CPR certification from recognized organizations.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiology duties within scope of practice per NextCare policies and radiation rules.
• Assists providers with exams, patient vitals, and procedures under supervision.
• Administers medications per policy and follows safety protocols.
• Collects urine samples for testing as needed.
• May perform splinting and casting and conduct physicals.
• Notifies provider of unusual patient occurrences and safety concerns.
• Follows lab and clinical accreditation guidelines.
• Proficient in EMR/EHR.
