Job summary

Bon Secours in Virginia is seeking a Radiology Technologist at DePaul Medical Associates to perform diagnostic imaging with emphasis on patient safety and quality care under physician guidance.

Applicants should have ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiology, state licensure preferred, BLS on hire, and about 1 year of radiology experience. Familiarity with EPIC EHR and PACS is a plus; Bon Secours offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Certification and Registration with ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology (required)
• State Licensure (preferred)
• BLS Basic Life Support (required at hire)
• 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care (preferred)
• Experience with Radiology Information System (RIS) (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient's clinical history and lab information for licensed practitioner use
• Positions and immobilizes patient to demonstrate area of interest
• Applies radiation protection principles to minimize exposure
• Performs radiographic procedures with imaging equipment
• Verifies informed consent and completes pre/post procedure documentation
• Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopy and radiography procedures
• Performs required timeouts per policy
• Administers medications/contrast as prescribed by a licensed practitioner
