Northwestern Medicine's Catherine Gratz Griffin Lake Forest Hospital is seeking a Radiographer to join our imaging team. This full-time role is 40 hours per week with a Monday–Friday schedule from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
• ARRT Radiography (R).
• Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) Accreditation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Maintains accountability for patient safety throughout the imaging process, including screening, preparation, monitoring, and post-procedure care.
• Produces diagnostic-quality images using approved protocols and professional standards.
• Apply professional judgment within approved protocols to optimize image quality and address imaging challenges.
• Reviews images prior to exam completion and initiates corrective action when diagnostic adequacy is not met.
• Administers contrast in accordance with policy, including screening for contraindications and patient monitoring (as applicable).
• Operates imaging equipment and maintains imaging room readiness.
• Identifies equipment performance issues and initiates follow-up through established service processes.
• Coordinates exam flow and prioritizes time-sensitive studies.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation in medical records and image archive system, including exam setup, image routing, result availability and charging accuracy.
• Adheres to organizational values, ethical standards, and compliance requirements.
• Consistently upholds all applicable quality and safety standards within diagnostic imaging, such as radiation safety, MRI safety, Infection prevention measures safe practices.
• Ensures a positive patient experience throughout care delivery.
• Supports department initiatives to improve relationships, reliability, efficiency, growth.
• Supports additional responsibilities aligned with patient care and department needs.

Education
