Job summary

WVUUH West Virginia University Hospitals in Fairmont, WV, seeks a Radiology Technologist to perform imaging and assist patient care across diagnostic areas, adhering to safety and quality standards.

This role requires graduation from a Medical Imaging Program, ARRT certification, and state licensure where services are provided, plus BLS within 30 days of hire. You will rotate through Fluoro, Mobiles, OR, and other areas to deliver high-quality images while minimizing radiation exposure.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program.
• Licensed Radiographer per state where services provided (MD, OH, PA, WV).
• ARRT registration upon hire (MD/OH) or within 6 months (PA).
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Rotates in all Diagnostic areas to develop technical skills (Fluoro, Mobiles, Routine, OR, Endoscopy, Orthopedics).
• Performs imaging procedures based on patient assessment and service requests, following protocols.
• Produces high-quality images using imaging equipment and archiving systems.
• Selects exposure factors based on patient size and condition to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure.
• Educates patients about radiographic procedures and answers questions.
• Promotes teamwork across radiology staff and other departments.
