Job summary

WVU Health System’s WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals seeks a Radiology Technologist to perform imaging and supportive patient care across diagnostic areas. You will rotate through Fluoro, OR, Mobile, and Endoscopy to develop technical proficiency and ensure high-quality diagnostic images.

Responsibilities include selecting exposure factors, minimizing radiation exposure, and educating patients about imaging procedures while adhering to safety and ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Must possess current Radiography license as required by state board where services will be provided.
• Registered by the ARRT in Radiography.
• Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Rotates in all Diagnostic areas to develop technical skills across Fluoro, Mobiles, Routine, OR, Endoscopy, Orthopedics.
• Performs image procedures based on patient status, service request, and imaging protocols.
• Produces high-quality images while minimizing radiation exposure.
• Maintains anatomy, physiology, and pathology knowledge relevant to imaging to optimize procedures and patient safety.
• Educates patients about radiographic procedures and answers questions.
• Contributes to team-based radiology services and supports hospital workflow.
