Job summary

WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, WV is seeking a Radiology Technologist - Level I to perform imaging and related patient care across diagnostic areas. You will rotate through fluoroscopy, mobile, OR, and other procedures to deliver high-quality images under ARRT standards.

Qualifications

• Current radiography license as required by the state.
• ARRT registration in Radiography.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• State and federal background checks as required.

Responsibilities

• Rotate in all diagnostic areas to develop technical skills.
• Perform image procedures based on patient status, service request, and imaging protocols.
• Produce high-quality images using imaging equipment and systems.
• Select exposure factors based on patient size, condition, and pathology.
• Minimize radiation exposure through shielding, collimation, inverse square law, and minimizing repeats.
• Maintain anatomy, physiology, and pathology knowledge relevant to imaging.
• Assess patient needs and provide imaging-related comfort and support.
• Prepare contrast agents and sterile trays per guidelines.
• Educate patients regarding radiographic procedures and answer questions.
• Promote team approach to radiology services with staff from various disciplines.
• Engage in problem solving and performance improvement to support quality care.
• Adhere to ARRT Code of Ethics and department policies.
