Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging with fluoroscopic, portable, and diagnostic equipment. You will work as an independent contributor and within a multidisciplinary team, with routine rotation through Pediatric, GI/GU/Misc.

Fluoroscopy, MSK IR procedures, Neuro IR procedures, O-Arm, extremity CT, 3D C-arm, and trauma. The role may involve coverage at multiple sites as needed, with appropriate training to ensure a seamless patient care

Qualifications

• Must effectively use interpersonal skills to deal with patients and staff under stress.
• Excellent attention to detail; reading and writing in English required.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, radiation physics, ALARA, radiographic equipment and positioning.
• Ability to respond to emergency and infection control situations appropriately.
• Positive attitude, professional appearance, and flexibility to departmental needs and MGB.
• Board eligible through the American Board of Radiology.

Responsibilities

• Confirms correct patient and exam to be performed; documents as needed.
• Explains exam and contrast administration to patient with language considerations.
• Adjusts equipment for all exams to achieve safe imaging.
• Performs imaging using required equipment and contrast per protocol or radiologist request.
• Ensures exams are labeled correctly and transmitted to PACS.
• Adheres to departmental and hospital policies.
