Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist II to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services in inpatient, outpatient, ER, fluoroscopy, and operating rooms. You will work independently and with physicians to support accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Ideal candidates have ARRT certification in Radiography and an active state license, with a background in diagnostic radiology and fluoroscopic procedures. This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and patient-centered imaging care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-approved Radiography Program (required).
• Certification required within 6 months of graduation from an accredited Radiology Program (required).
• Associate degree in Radiography (preferred).
• Minimum of 1 year of diagnostic radiology experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for diagnostic and therapeutic radiology procedures.
• Perform radiographic and non-interpretive fluoroscopic procedures, including intraoperative and mobile exams.
• Assist licensed practitioners with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures (e.g., ERCPs, bronchoscopy, mini C-arms, post-reductions).
• Perform mobile imaging, including lines, pacers, and neonatal imaging.
• Ensure proper operation of radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance and arrange for maintenance as needed.
• Apply ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and self.
• Comply with all federal and state radiation safety laws and proper use of monitoring devices.
• Contribute to a safe patient environment guided by the principle of “First Do No Harm.”
