Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging across inpatient, outpatient, ER, fluoroscopy, portables, and OR settings. You will work independently with physicians to support accurate diagnosis and treatment, following ALARA principles and safety standards.

The role requires ARRT certification in Radiography, state licensure, and completion of an accredited Radiography program.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an ARRT-approved Radiography Program.
  • ARRT certification in Radiography – RT(R) within 6 months of graduation.
  • Applicable state licensure is required.
  • Associate degree in Radiography is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year diagnostic radiology experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and position patients for diagnostic and therapeutic radiology procedures.
  • Perform radiographic and non-interpretive fluoroscopic procedures, including intraoperative and mobile exams.
  • Assist licensed practitioners with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures (e.g., ERCPs, bronchoscopy, mini C-arms, post-reductions).
  • Perform mobile imaging, including lines, pacers, and neonatal imaging.
  • Ensure proper operation of radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment.
  • Monitor equipment performance and arrange for maintenance as needed.
  • Apply ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and self.
  • Comply with all federal and state radiation safety laws and proper use of monitoring devices.
  • Contribute to a safe patient environment guided by the principle of “First Do No Harm.”

This role works independently and with physicians/APCs to support accurate diagnosis and treatment.
