Job summary

Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center is seeking a Radiology Technologist – Acute to join our REMARKABLE acute care team in Winston-Salem, NC. The role requires ARRT(R) certification within 6 months of hire and at least 1 year of diagnostic radiology experience, with a preferred Associate Degree in Radiography.

You will operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment, including intraoperative and mobile procedures, while upholding ALARA safety standards.

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) certification in Radiography required within 6 months of hire.
• 2 year/Associate Degree preferred from an ARRT-approved program.
• Minimum of one year experience in diagnostic radiology preferred.
• Applicable state licensure as required; ARRT registry within 6 months after graduation.

Responsibilities

What We're Looking For

• Education: Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program. Certification required within 6 months of hire post-graduation from an accredited Radiology Program, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of one year experience in diagnostic radiology, preferred.Licensure/Certification: ARRT certification in Radiography - RT(R), required. Applicable state licensure as required. Post-graduates from an accredited Radiology Program with be required to pass their ARRT registry within 6 months of completing program, required.
• Additional Skills (required):
  • Applies principles of ALARA to minimize radiation exposure to patient, self, and others.
  • Demonstrates current knowledge of federal and state radiation safety laws.
  • Properly utilizes personnel monitoring devices.
  • Ensures proper equipment performance and schedules maintenance for emergent needs.
  • Properly operates radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment.
  • Independently performs radiographic and non-interpretive fluoroscopic procedures, including intraoperative and mobile procedures, as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
  • Assists a licensed practitioner in the performance of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, including all intraoperative and mobile procedures including the following: ERCP’s, bronchoscopy, mini-c-arms, post reductions.
  • Mobile imaging including lines and pacers and neonates.
