Job summary

Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center seeks a Radiology Technologist – Acute to join our REMARKABLE acute care team. You will operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment, support intraoperative and mobile imaging, and help ensure ALARA practices while delivering high-quality patient care.

The role requires ARRT Radiography certification within 6 months of hire, a 2-year/associate degree, and a preferred minimum of one year in diagnostic radiology. State licensure as required will apply.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent preferred and ARRT program graduation.
• ARRT certification in Radiography (RT(R)) required within 6 months of hire.
• State licensure as required by the state.
• Graduate of an ARRT-approved Radiography Program with ARRT registry within 6 months.
• Minimum of 1 year diagnostic radiology experience preferred.
• Knowledge of ALARA and radiation safety laws.

What We're Looking For

• Education:2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred.
  • Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program. Certification required within 6 months of hire post-graduation from an accredited Radiology Program. Required.
• Experience:Minimum of one year experience in diagnostic radiology, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • ARRT certification in Radiography - RT(R), required.
  • Applicable state licensure as required, required.
  • Post-graduates from an accredited Radiology Program with be required to pass their ARRT registry within 6 months of completing program, required.
• Additional Skills Required:
  • Applies principles of ALARA to minimize radiation exposure to patient, self, and others.
  • Demonstrates current knowledge of federal and state radiation safety laws.
  • Properly utilizes personnel monitoring devices.
  • Ensures proper equipment performance and schedules maintenance for emergent needs.
  • Properly operates radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment.
  • Independently performs radiographic and non-interpretive fluoroscopic procedures, including intraoperative and mobile procedures, as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
  • Assists a licensed practitioner in the performance of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, including all intraoperative and mobile procedures including the following: ERCP’s, bronchoscopy, mini-c-arms, post reductions.
  • Mobile imaging including lines and pacers and neonates.
