Job summary

HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital is seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist to join our imaging team on a full-time basis. You will perform radiographic procedures, ensure high-quality images, and support patient safety and comfort throughout exams.

Responsibilities include positioning patients, documenting findings, and collaborating with radiologists and staff to deliver accurate results while upholding the hospital’s standards of care.

Qualifications

• Completion of a 24-month Radiologic Technology program at an AMA-approved school.
• Valid ARRT certification.
• Active Florida licensure (CRT).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Take radiographs (x-rays) of patients to aid physicians in diagnosis and treatment.
• Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images with proper markers and time/date stamps.
• Select appropriate technical factors to suit patient needs and assist with contrast media when indicated.
• Position patients safely and maintain modesty and proper equipment handling.
• Document clinical information prior to exams and ensure MEDITECH data is accurate and timely.
• Communicate effectively with patients, radiologists, and care teams to coordinate care.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Radiology Technologist

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist on a full-time basis. You will take radiographs (x-rays) of patients which will assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment and perform procedures accurately and in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner.

Your tasks and responsibilities as a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray Tech) include but are not limited to:

• Possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment including surgical, portable, trauma, general and fluoroscopic radiographic procedures
• Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images assuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation utilizing appropriate lead markers as well as date and time stickers where indicated
• Select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate patient and assist in administration of contrast media when indicated
• Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices as appropriate
• Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
• Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist
• Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessary supplies

Qualifications

• Completion of a 24-month Radiologic Technology program at an AMA-approved school
• Valid ARRT certification
• Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Ability to perform work which requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
