Job Summary
We are seeking a Florida‑licensed Radiology Technologist on a full‑time basis. You will take radiographs (x‑rays) of patients which will assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment and will perform procedures accurately and in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner.
Responsibilities
- Possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment including surgical, portable, trauma, general and fluoroscopic radiographic procedures.
- Obtain high‑quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images, assuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation utilizing appropriate lead markers as well as date and time stickers where indicated.
- Select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate patient and assist in administration of contrast media when necessary.
- Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices.
- Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time.
- Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist.
- Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross‑contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessary supplies.
Qualifications
- Vocational/Technical education.
- Valid ARRT certification.
- Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to perform work which requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
