Qualifications

  • Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology program.
  • Registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire; BLS required.
  • Ability to assist with patient transfers and operate hospital transport equipment.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Escorts patients, guests, and visitors to points of destination using ambulatory, beds, cribs, stretchers, and wheelchairs.
  • Uses hospital paging system to manage transport orders and status.
  • Assists nursing and clinical staff with transferring patients from bed to transport equipment.
  • Transports and provides room orientation for admissions.
  • Verifies registration of outpatients and transports to appropriate departments or clinics.
  • Retrieves, cleans, and stores all unused patient transport equipment.
