Atrium Health is seeking a Patient Transporter in Macon, GA. The role involves escorting patients and visitors using wheelchairs and stretchers, coordinating transports with hospital paging systems, and assisting staff with transfers.
Must be a graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology program and eligible for registry within 1 year. BLS is required. Strong communication and physical endurance are essential for this role.

Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and demonstrates the skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served.
Requires strenuous physical effort while assisting patients from wheelchairs and stretchers. Handles equipment and monitors supplies. Excellent oral and written communication skills to interact with patients and hospital staff required. May frequently be required to stretch, bend, twist, squat or kneel in operating radiographic equipment. Will be required to use hands for power gripping, speed work and precision during manipulation of radiographic equipment and in the case of injured or diseased patients. Vision and hearing for distances of up to 10 feet is necessary.
