Job summary

Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging and related procedures while upholding radiation safety principles.

You will work in Diagnostic Imaging on a Mon-Fri 7:30am-4pm schedule and may supervise student technologists as needed. Requires Florida licensure, ARRT certification, and current BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Valid Florida licensure as Radiologic Technologist.
• Valid ARRT certification.
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• C-Arm experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy and/or physiology for interpretation and/or intervention.
• Exercises professional judgment to ensure quality care.
• Delivers appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures.
• Complies with state and federal regulations applicable to each modality.
• Adheres to Orlando Health mission statements and standards.
• Assesses patient condition and age-specific needs; provides instructions for cooperation.
• Documents patient history and identification accurately; positions patient and equipment to obtain high-quality images.
• Applies radiation safety principles to minimize exposure; participates in Quality Control tasks.
