Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital, a comprehensive tertiary care facility in St. Petersburg, seeks a Radiology Technologist for the Diagnostic Imaging department. The role supports OR case coverage and emphasizes high-quality imaging and radiation safety.

The candidate will perform diagnostic imaging, adhere to regulatory standards, and participate in training of student technologists while maintaining precise documentation and patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Florida licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
• ARRT certification current.
• BLS/Healthcare Provider certification current.
• C-Arm experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic imaging and related procedures for interpretation and intervention.
• Exhibits professional judgment and maintains quality care demeanor.
• Delivers appropriate patient care and ensures procedure completion.
• Complies with state and federal regulations for each modality.
• Adheres to Orlando Health mission statements and imperatives.
• Assesses patient condition and age specific needs.
• Provides instructions to obtain patient cooperation.
• Accurately documents patient history and identifications.
• Positions patient and equipment to obtain high quality images.
• Assesses diagnostic images for quality and annotation.
• Applies radiation safety principles to minimize exposure.
• Participates in Quality Control tasks and procedures.
• Demonstrates proficiency in contrast administration and response.
• Administers meds for adverse reactions to contrast if needed.
• Follows safety PPE standards and infection control.
• Assists in supervising student technologists and training new staff.
• Utilizes radiology computer systems effectively.
• Ensures safety of all customers.
• Maintains attendance and compliance with policies.
