Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist for Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Illinois. The position is full-time with a 40-hour work week, rotating weekends and on-call/holiday coverage.

The role involves operating radiographic equipment, assisting with fluoroscopy, and ensuring patient safety. Required are ARRT registration or eligibility, accreditation in Radiology Technology, and current CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology.
• ARRT registered or registry eligible.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays and on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs as directed by a physician.
• Maneuver portable radiographic equipment in patient care areas and in surgery as required.
• Assist radiologists with fluoroscopic examinations.
• Prepare patients and explain procedures; ensure comfort.
• Maintain equipment and uphold radiation safety standards.
