Job summary

Live Well Homecare is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiography and fluoroscopy, following ALARA principles and safety policies.

The position requires graduation from a radiologic technology program and ARRT-R registration within six months. New graduates must progress to level 2 within 24 months, and you will verify orders, prepare patients, and assist with procedures inside and outside the radiology department.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a radiologic technology program.
• ARRT-R registration within six months.
• Ability to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Knowledge of radiation safety.
• Excellent communication skills.
• New graduates must obtain ARRT-R certification; progress to level 2 within 24 months if hired after a certain date.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct orders, verify patient identity, and document clinical history while maintaining confidentiality.
• Apply imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and adhere to ALARA principles to ensure patient safety.
• Prepare, administer, and document medications or radiation exposure as prescribed.
• Evaluate images for quality and proper positioning, and ensure data are archived or transferred correctly.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers.
• Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized procedures, including outside the radiology department.
