Job summary

Avera Gettysburg Hospital in Gettysburg, SD is seeking a Radiology Technologist to operate radiographic and CT equipment and deliver high-quality diagnostic images. The role requires ARRT certification within 60 days and an associate/technical degree in Radiologic Technology, with a daytime schedule and ongoing patient care responsibilities.

Qualifications

Associate's degree or a certificate of completion from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
ARRT Certification within 60 days.

Responsibilities

Performs radiology procedures accurately and efficiently according to standards.
Initiates proper intervention to radiologist when immediate attention is needed.
Reviews indications for exams and reports inappropriate indications to supervisor.
Provides exam data for radiologist interpretation.
Utilizes PACS, RIS, HIS/EMR systems and performs clerical duties.
Archives images and sends to radiologist group; retrieves stored images as needed.
Maintains patient safety, confidentiality and compliance with standards.
