Job summary

Providence Portland Medical Center is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform imaging examinations under physician orders, using a range of imaging equipment and adjusting positioning and dose to produce high-quality images with ALARA principles.

Qualifications

• Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
• Upon hire: Oregon Radiographer License or Oregon Radiographer Temporary License.
• New graduates must have OBMI temporary license and obtain permanent license within 6 months of hire.
• Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Performs imaging examinations according to physicians orders, utilizing a variety of imaging equipment.
• Considers patient age-related needs and uses proper positioning to produce high-quality images.
• Maintains ALARA awareness to minimize radiation exposure for patient and staff.
