Job summary

Providence Portland Medical Center is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform imaging studies per physician orders using diverse imaging equipment. The role prioritizes patient comfort and safety across age groups, applying proper positioning, dose calibration, and ALARA principles to deliver high-quality images.

The position supports a full-time day shift with a competitive benefits package and a $6,000 sign-on for eligible external candidates.

Qualifications

Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
Upon hire: Oregon Radiographer License or Oregon Radiographer Temporary License.
New graduates must have OBMI temporary license and obtain permanent license within 6 months of hire.
Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

Perform imaging examinations according to physicians orders, utilizing a variety of imaging equipment.
Consider patients' unique and/or age-related needs and ensure proper positioning factors.
Use clinical judgment to calibrate radiation dose and technique to produce high-quality images.
Maintain ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure for patients and staff.
