Job summary

Avera Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to proficiently operate radiographic and CT equipment, delivering clinically diagnostic images as directed by physicians. The role requires ARRT certification and an associate degree in radiologic technology.

You will perform a variety of radiology procedures, ensure quality, and collaborate with radiology staff to maintain patient safety and data integrity across PACS, RIS, and EMR systems.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT certification within 60 days.
• Visual acuity and clear communication are required.
• Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team and follow standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiology procedures accurately per standards and protocols.
• Initiates intervention to radiologist or referring practitioner if immediate attention is needed.
• Reviews indications for exams and reports inappropriate indications to supervisor.
• Produces complete and accurate exam data for interpretation by radiologists.
• Utilizes PACS, RIS, HIS EMR systems and performs general clerical duties.
• Archives images for permanent storage and sends images to radiologist groups.
