Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Radiology Tech Assistant to support the Radiology team using the Radiology Information System, basic computer skills, and strong communication.

The role involves organizing rooms, transporting patients with proper identifiers, and assisting with equipment and supply management to ensure smooth department operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• BLS Basic Life Support certification is required (must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care).

Responsibilities

• Organizes rooms, stocks linen, changes and properly removes linen.
• Uses two patient identifiers prior to transporting patients to and from Radiology that are not requiring patient monitor or high flow oxygen.
• Properly operates stretchers, patient beds, and wheelchairs.
• Reviews daily department schedules to work efficiently with Radiology team members.
• Maintains office and medical supplies in all Imaging areas and informs team leader when supplies need to be ordered.
• Other duties as assigned that are deemed necessary for department operations.

Education

Required Licensing & Certifications

• BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care) (required)

Experience

• 1 year of patient care experience (preferred)
• Experience with Radiology Information System (preferred).

Training

• EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) (preferred)
• Picture archiving communication system (PACS) (preferred)
