Job summary

Boston Medical Center in Boston's Brighton campus seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiography with accuracy and compassion. You will prepare patients, operate imaging equipment, and maintain safety standards under supervision. Requires MA license or temporary license with ARRT eligibility, BLS, and completion of a Radiologic Technology program.

Associate degree preferred. Sign-on bonus of $15,000 for external applicants.

Qualifications

Must be able to collaborate and effectively communicate with Radiology clients.
Interpersonal skills sufficient to satisfactorily explain examination process to patients.
Level of knowledge associated with completion of Radiologic Technology program.

Responsibilities

Selects type and number of films to provide diagnostic information.
Prepares and positions patients relative to diagnostic equipment and performs radiographic examinations accurately.
Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of working area.
Maintains patient flow and quality of films under supervision.
Demonstrates safe operation of radiographic equipment with proper radiation safety.
Maintains professional demeanor with patients and staff.
Performs clerical and transport duties as needed.
Assists Technical Manager in daily processor/film sensitometry.
Completes patient tracking for proper billing and film retrieval.
