• Ability to follow department protocols for imaging and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Confirms correct patient and exam through interview, patient history and medical records.
• Explains exam to patient, considering language and individual needs; ensures compliance and understanding.
• Adjusts equipment settings to obtain safe, quality images.
• Performs imaging per department protocol and Radiologist's request.
• Ensures exams are labeled correctly before transmission to PACS.
