Job summary

St. Michael’s Hospital Avera is seeking a Radiology Technologist to support department coverage by performing diagnostic imaging in accordance with standards and protocols. Full-time position with potential rural recruitment incentive.

Role includes patient positioning, imaging, documentation in EHR/PACS, and collaboration with care teams. Candidate must be ARRT-licensed or enrolled in an accredited Radiologic Technology program, with CT certification and/or experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or enrolled in an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Must be eligible for ARRT certification; CT certification and/or experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic X-ray procedures according to established protocols.
• Ensure quality imaging and patient safety.
• Prepare and position patients appropriately for exams.
• Follow radiation safety and infection control standards.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Document procedures in EHR/PACS and complete necessary paperwork.
• Collaborate with providers and staff to support patient care.
• Stay current with advances in radiologic technology.

JOB SUMMARY The Radiology Technologist supports department coverage by performing diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with established standards and protocols.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Performs diagnostic X-ray procedures according to establish protocols.
• Ensure quality imaging and patient safety.
• Prepare and position patients appropriately for exams.
• Follow radiation safety and infection control standards.
• Keeps the work area clean and orderly.
• Document procedures accurately in EHR/PACS Handles the necessary paperwork, filing and other office procedures in accordance with department policies.
• Collaborate with providers and staff to support patient care.
• Keeps current with the latest trends in technology and radiological procedures.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information and professional appearance and conduct.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

None.

EDUCATION LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION

Licensed by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists or current enrollment in an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Must be eligible for ARRT certification. CT certification and/or experience preferred.
