Job summary

LewisGale Imaging in Roanoke, VA, is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate radiologic equipment, position patients, and help the radiologist with procedures to produce high‑quality radiographs.

This full‑time, day‑shift role requires an Associate degree (or military training), ARRT certification and state license, and BLS within 30 days. A $15,000 sign‑on bonus and a $10,000 relocation bonus are offered to eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or equivalent Military Radiologic Technologist training.
• Current ARRT certification and state license.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 30 days of employment start date.
• ASRT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate radiologic equipment to produce radiographs and provide information to diagnose patient illnesses.
• Prepare patients for procedures through positioning and image technique.
• Document patient care in charts and department records.
• Review exams for technical accuracy and anatomical orientation on images.
• Assist radiologist with medications and contrast agents.
• Participate in emergency call rotation to meet department needs.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Radiologic Technologist, you would provide information to diagnose patient illnesses, by operating radiologic equipment to produce radiographs. Prior to each exam, you would prepare patient for radiological procedure through proper positioning and image technique, adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment into specified position, and adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.

• You will maintain production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures
• Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
• You will review each exam for technical accuracy and identifies anatomical orientation on all images.
• Assist the radiologist in administering medications, contrast agents and all types of care to the patient.
• Participate in emergency call rotation to meet department needs.

Requirements:

• Associates Degree or equivalent Military Radiologic Technologist training.
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technology/ARRT and state license.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• American Society of Radiologic Technology preferred.

Hours: Full time, day shift (weekdays only)
