Job summary

HCA Healthcare's LewisGale Imaging Center is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate radiologic equipment and produce radiographs for diagnosis. You will prepare patients, position them correctly, and set exposure factors under the radiologist supervision.

The role requires an Associate Degree or military radiologic training, ARRT certification and state licensure, plus BCLS within 30 days. A day shift, full-time schedule is offered with competitive benefits and opportunities for

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• American Society of Radiologic Technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures.
• Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
• Review each exam for technical accuracy and identify anatomical orientation on all images.
• Assist the radiologist in administering medications, contrast agents and all types of care to the patient.
• Participate in emergency call rotation to meet department needs.

Education

Associates Degree or equivalent Military Radiologic Technologist training

Current ARRT and state license

Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days

American Society of Radiologic Technology preferred

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Radiologic Technologist, you would provide information to diagnose patient illnesses, by operating radiologic equipment to produce radiographs. Prior to each exam, you would prepare patient for radiological procedure through proper positioning and image technique, adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment into specified position, and adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.

• You will maintain production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures
• Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
• You will review each exam for technical accuracy and identifies anatomical orientation on all images.
• Assist the radiologist in administering medications, contrast agents and all types of care to the patient.
• Participate in emergency call rotation to meet department needs.

Requirements

• Associates Degree or equivalent Military Radiologic Technologist training.
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technology/ARRT and state license.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• American Society of Radiologic Technology preferred.

Hours: Full time, day shift (weekdays only)
