Job description

Weston County Health Services is seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in Newcastle, Wyoming. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients, ensuring accurate and timely results to aid in their medical care.

Qualifications
  1. Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field from an accredited institution.
  2. Current certification and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  3. Valid state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist in Wyoming or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to employment.
  4. Proven experience performing diagnostic imaging procedures, with proficiency in operating various imaging equipment.
  5. Strong understanding of radiation safety protocols and procedures.
  6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide compassionate patient care.
  7. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  8. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Responsibilities
  1. Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs, adhering to established protocols and safety standards.
  2. Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
  3. Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring it is in proper working condition and reporting any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
  4. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results and provide accurate diagnostic information.
  5. Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, including documenting procedures performed and ensuring confidentiality of patient information.
  6. Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and protocols to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and self.
  7. Stay current with advancements in radiologic technology and techniques through ongoing education and professional development.
