The role you’ll contribute:

Performs radiographic imaging procedures, positions, moves, and assists patients. Performs clerical duties and basic patient care within scope of practice and departmental standards. Adheres to the Florida Hospital Corporate compliance plan, and complies with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as accrediting bodies.

• Performs radiographic imaging procedures.
• Cross-trains into CT, MRI, or Mammography as needed.
• Positions patients and equipment, and selects technical factors to produce radiographic images meeting Radiologist’s standards, in a safe, timely manner.
• Processes radiographs with correct patient demographic and examination information.
• Uses computer systems to enter and access patient information correctly, and manages procedure status and billing.

Qualifications

The expertise and experience you’ll need to succeed:

• One year of experience, preferably in radiology, or a new graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program. Experience required before working unattended or high-volume shifts without supervision. After a one-month orientation, technologists should be able to work independently, with supervision or assistance available. Within three months, technologists should be able to work independent shifts and participate in standby call.
• Current ARRT certification and Florida license in Radiography are required.
