Job summary

Baptist Health in McKenzie, TN seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic procedures and operate radiology equipment per physician orders, following established standards. The role requires ARRT radiography certification or pending status for new graduates, and completion of a radiography program.

The incumbent will adhere to safety protocols, maintain equipment, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives while documenting activities and supporting department goals.

Qualifications

• Experience through completion of a Radiology Technology Program.
• Formal radiography education program accredited for ARRT.
• ARRT(R) registration or pending registry as a new graduate.

Job Summary

Operates radiology equipment and performs routine diagnostic procedures as prescribed by physicians according to established standards and practices in order to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety method as requested by a licensed physician.
• Exercise judgement in selecting and computing settings for each patient.
• Develop an appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
• Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.
• Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Participates in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards. Collects quality data for monitoring performance improvement.
• Completes assigned goals.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required

• Experience as obtained through the completion of a Radiology Technology Program.

Minimum Required

• Completion of a formal education program in radiography accredited by a mechanism acceptable to ARRT. Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with current Registry in Radiography ARRT(R) or new graduate who is waiting to take the registry.
