Job summary

Baptist is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate radiology equipment and perform routine diagnostic procedures as prescribed by physicians in a hospital setting. You will follow established safety methods and ensure patient care aligns with standards.

Responsibilities include selecting correct settings, developing treatment plans, documenting activities, and maintaining equipment and rooms to keep a safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience as obtained through the completion of a Radiology Technology Program.
• Completion of a formal education program in radiography accredited by ARRT requirements; ARRT registration or eligibility.
• Associates degree in a related field may be preferred.
• Must understand radiologic principles and theory; follow written and oral instructions; plan and organize work.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety method as requested by a licensed physician.
• Exercise judgement in selecting and computing settings for each patient.
• Develop an appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
• Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.
• Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Participates in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards. Collects quality data for monitoring performance improvement.

• Completion of a formal education program in radiography accredited by a mechanism acceptable to ARRT. Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with current Registry in Radiography ARRT(R) or new graduate who is waiting to take the registry.
